According to foreign media, the Ministry of Health of Malaysia intends to submit a new bill on the control of smoking products to Congress in May, especially to strengthen the control of nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes.
Health Minister Zaliha (transliteration) issued a document yesterday that the new bill aims to ensure comprehensive control of preparations used in electronic cigarettes, that is, nicotine-containing liquids and gels.
She said the Ministry of Health had convened a consultation meeting with all stakeholders (Congress Parliamentarians, NGOs, professional bodies and other relevant bodies).
"The Ministry of Health is very concerned about the attention, reaction and Feedback."
